Since 2002, Abbey Road LIVE! has been rocking the music of the Beatles at clubs, theatres, festivals, and private events. Initially a tribute to the monumental “Abbey Road” album, the band has expanded its scope to include more than 100 Beatles tunes, from all eras of the Fab Four’s career. The band specializes in complete, start-to-finish album performances of masterpieces such as “Abbey Road”, “Magical Mystery Tour” and “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band”.
Abbey Road LIVE! is not your typical Beatle look-alike tribute act; don’t expect mop-top haircuts and vintage Rickenbacker guitars. Rather, this show is about bringing to life some of the more mature and complex Beatles material in a raw & spirited fashion, while remaining true to the original recordings. Combining attention to detail with a creative exuberance, the band always delights its audiences with its diverse repertoire of hits and more obscure favorites.
Tumbleweed Peepshow is a collaboration between three adept and artistic songwriters/instrumentalists. Their original songs reflect the wide-open space and dramatic effect of their rural and mountainous home in Sisters, Oregon . The group came together in 2013 when Benji and Raman independently moved back to Sisters, wh…ere they were raised and had played music together since they were 12. They quickly reunited with their old friend and musical mentor, Brent Alan, and a band was born. The three now bond over frequent jams and a love for artists such as Jackson Browne, John Prine, Hank Williams, Tim O’Brien and Darrell Scott. As a trio, they pull at the heart-strings and create a raw, soulful, bluegrass-infused sound with real life, acoustic stories and a groove you can move to.
I wait all year for this! Dennis McGregor comes out of his studio to make some music magic on our little stage. I’m looking forward to his first set of acoustic favorites as I have my first glass of wine. You can bet he’ll heat things up in the second set- which is rumored to be rife with a handful of sublime local vetrans of Angeline’s stage. Time to kick off my sandals, this night is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Cover $5-$10
David Jacobs-Strain is a fierce slide guitar player, and a song poet from Oregon. He’s known for both his virtuosity and spirit of emotional abandon; his live show moves from humorous, subversive blues, to delicate balladry, and then swings back to swampy rock and roll. It’s a range that ties Jacobs-Strain to his own generation and to guitar-slinger troubadours like Robert Johnson and Jackson Browne
